Twitter in Ministry
Had a chance earlier this week to speak with Kelly Jasper with the Augusta Chronicle for an article in today’s paper. The article was on the use of social media in ministry, in particular Twitter. I think that we have to be very careful that we don’t leave the older generation behind, and that we don’t substitute technology for relationships. Also the comment about the breakneck pace of society concernes me. I feel that churches should be encouraging people to slow down, to spend time with God and with others, rather than feeding into the hurry up mentality.
