back in Aiken effective meetings
Jul 20

Okay, so if you’ve been at CCC the past two weeks, you’ve been a part of a cool experiment: Video Teaching. This is an idea we’ve been wanting to use for a while now, even before we were planning on going multi-site. As I mentioned in this post, I would love to hear your comments and feedback on some of your thoughts on it when you get a chance. While not the whole message was video, key points and parts were.

    Alan….

Having the segment in the middle of the sermon was not as smooth as having it as the intro segment. Its impossible for the onstage energy to be the same as the video. I found the background music a distraction as well. I’m a big supporter of the direction of the multisites and I know that God will find a way to share these messages with all who attend the new services.

Keep up the good work and keep your eyes focused on Jesus - he will pave the way.

    Peace,
    Don

Yeah, went back and forth on the background music on that one. Tried to bring it down as low as possible so that it would almost seem somewhat “subliminal”….kinda just a little bottom to everything. Obviously with the full length message, it will be a video of the sermon with the only background music being if we throw in a video here or there, kinda of like we did Sunday. Good feedback. Thanks!

I agree with the other comment, the cut out durring was not as smooth, In the multisite world there will be no going live then to recoreded so that wont be an issue.

but to bhe honest, I never even noticed any back ground music. I have been told that people today expect to have to shut out some things, that is why kids can do homework and have the tv and the radio going at the same time.

I wonder, if the whole message could be put on dvd and given out, how would that be received? Just one more wild idea from peanut gallery.

    Thanks for all you do.
