My brother sent me this link today. It’s called the Pickens Plan. Very interesting. You can put me in the camp that would REALLY like to seriously put our money and new initiatives toward finding viable, alternative fuel sources.
Here’s a quick video: Pickens Plan Video

Here’s one in a series of videos that I’m working on for Kidz Creek. This one aired last week in Kidz Worship. Just some random silliness. The day we shot this it was about 90 degrees so they were about to burn up in their climbing gear.

So, I’m little late in posting this review but thought I’d pass it along. While in Hilton Head, Kim and I took in a movie one night. We are both fans of the previous three Indiana Jones films so we thought we’d check out the latest one. I had heard mixed reviews so I thought I’d form my own opinion. If I had to give letter grade to this movie, it would have to be a D+…..and that’s being generous. I was tracking with the movie until about 45 minutes in and it all goes down hill from there. Several times in the movie Kim and I are looking at each other saying, “Oh come on”. It was incredibly cheesy to the point where I actually thought the set out on purpose to make it that bad. I kept waiting for a cameo from Richard Simmons at any moment, but it never occurred. My recommendation is to save your money and go watch Narnia, Iron man or the new batman flick when it comes out. Save the new Indiana Jones movie for a dvd rental. Speaking of rentals, I watched Vantage Point last night with Dennis Quaid and it was very good. Highly recommend as a rental. Fast paced until the end, good story line, but probably the most interesting part is that the movie is pieced together from 5 or 6 different view points so what you thought you saw in the beginning gets turned on its head at the end.

I need to apologize…been out of the loop. Sorry about that. Had a lot on my plate and my mind so I’ve been in my shell…blogging-wise that is. Anyway, here is a bumper for when I spoke a few weeks ago on going old school.

been a pretty hectic week. I’m excited (and nervous) about preaching tomorrow. Both the nervousness and excitement are a part of it. If it wasn’t then I would be worried to be honest. All of it causes me to get on my face even more and ask that God would move in the lives of the people that will be there, that He would help me to communicate His grace and truth in a way that brings Him honor. Tomorrow, we’re “Goin’ Old School”. I would appreciate your prayers.
PS: the bumper for tomorrow’s message should be pretty funny, too. I’ll post it next week here on the blog.

Last week was very cool but man, I am wiped out. It began a week ago Saturday. Kim and I went down to Hilton Head and had some down time until Tuesday. She came back home while my week was just cranking up. We did the production for breakaway and wrapped yesterday (sunday). I drove back yesterday while Danny and Walter stayed to see Switchfoot. We had thought that we were going to get to do some production for them but all video for the concert got nixed earlier in the week. It’s a long story, but it wasn’t anything we did or didn’t do. Had to do with the promoter/booking stuff. I got pretty good sleep last night, but I am just wiped. It reminds me of the days when I would take students to youth camp or on a mission trip. those first few days are rough. Preaching this coming Sunday so I’m pretty pumped about that. May have to take several trips to Starbucks to help me through these next few days, though

So, as I said below in this post, Danny, Walter and myself are going to be providing the video production for Breakaway next week. Yesterday I just found out that on Sunday night after the camp is over, Switchfoot will be doing a concert at the same venue where our camp is going to be held at. And guess who is doing video production for Switchfoot….yep, you guessed it.. we do. Can I just say that I am absolutely stoked about that!!!! I couldn’t believe it at first. How cool is that.
Kim and I will be heading out this weekend for some R&R before hand, and I can’t wait. I’ll hopefully have some photos and such of everything.
