EasterAtCedarCreek.com

easteratccOur Easter site is now up and redesigned for 2009.  Except for an E-vite, it is pretty much complete.  As far as our marketing, we’ll be using this along with an invite card and a 40,000 piece mailer that will be going out the Tuesday/Wednesday before Easter.  We’re also working on our facebook page and getting some integration going on with this site, our main site and our twitter.  You can see the site at http://www.EasterAtCedarCreek.com

photoshoped movie posters

lordofwarsm1If you live in the world of professional design, graphics and video, at some you’re going to tangle with Photoshop.  There aren’t too many videos that I produce that don’t utilize photoshop on some level, and definitely for most graphic stuff.  I came across this list of some pretty incredible movie posters that were all edited and created using photoshop.  I think my favorite is Lord of War simply because of all the detail and time it probably took to create it.  Check them out here.

TNC’s Website

tncthumbOver the last several months I’ve had the opportunity to help True North Church revamp their web presence.  The new site is a  pretty “clean” look, but has some really nice features, too.  They have a great crew over at TNC.  Love their ministry and the fact that they are impacting the place that I grew up in (North Augusta).  The site is still a work in progress as there are some accent images, video elements, etc. to be added, but for the most part, it is up and running.  You can check out the site here.

Slacking during breakout session two

okay, my brain hurts from all the info so I’m back in service planning with Shane Duffey. Gonna live blog the last general session later on this afternoon. Plus, Shane was saying that he might be throwing out some new ideas in this session as more sr. pastors will be in this time.

death to IE6

So apparently the Norwegian’s are pretty brilliant.  Several large Norwegian websites have started a campaign to urge Internet Explorer users to upgrade from version 6 to a newer version.  As a web designer, I cannot stand IE6.  You can have a website working on every conceivable computer operating system and browser, and IE6 will somehow mess with the design.  IE 6 was first released 8 years ago… If you’re still using IE6, listen to a friend: let it go…really, it’s okay.  You’ll feel better about yourself, I promise :)
