Okay, so if you’ve been at CCC the past two weeks, you’ve been a part of a cool experiment: Video Teaching. This is an idea we’ve been wanting to use for a while now, even before we were planning on going multi-site. As I mentioned in this post, I would love to hear your comments and feedback on some of your thoughts on it when you get a chance. While not the whole message was video, key points and parts were.

been out of town on some much needed vacation time. Went over to Myrtle Beach for the past week. Trying to get my head on straight tonight, but I can definitely see some coffee in my near future this evening. Got to pay some bills this evening…something just not right about that. Get back from vacation and paying bills immediately..ah well. I’ll post some new photos to the flickr account later on this week.

Wanted to give a quick shout out to the man that discipled me….back when I was a punk…okay, back when I was younger punk 
From the time that I was in 7th grade through college, through all the junk that I went through, Tom was a constant Godly influence in my life. He discipled me. For that….I am more than eternally grateful. What an incredible gift I was given. Well, he’s finally blogging so I thought I’d give a little “whoop, whoop” to my man tom…check him out.

Dave Busby was what I would consider a modern day prophet. Even though he went to be with Jesus in 1997, his messages still rock my world whenever I listen to them. I had the privilege of taking my students to student life camp back around 2000 on a week when he was the speaker. Actually, that was why I chose that week. This was a man that struggle his whole life with cystic fibrosis, polio…you name it he had it. He was totally in love with Jesus, totally intense and to me he understood and communicated the grace of God like no other that I’ve known. You can check out DaveBusby.com and get a quick glimpse of him speaking…was probably around 1995. You can also grab some of his cd’s/dvd’s from the store tab. Would definitely recommend them.

This Sunday we’re going to be breaking some new ground at CCC….I don’t want to say what it is and ruin the surprise, but all I’ll say is the next three weeks will give people a taste of things to come. Should be an interesting experiment. I’m going to be speaking to our students so I won’t get to witness it live, but I’m VERY interested in the feedback. Stoked about speaking to our students. Going to be talking about Superhero and Matthew 14. Pray for me and for the students that God would really rock some.

My brother sent me this link today. It’s called the Pickens Plan. Very interesting. You can put me in the camp that would REALLY like to seriously put our money and new initiatives toward finding viable, alternative fuel sources.
