sorry been a while since I posted last. Between getting all the media ready for Luma Fest (missions/global outreach ministry event) at CCC, Thanksgiving and gearing up for Christmas, been kinda busy. I have a few vids to post that I hope to get up in the next few days.

We spent Thanksgiving at Oconee State Park in the upstate of SC. This is the 3rd year we went there for Thanksgiving. It is gorgeous….situated on a lake in the mountains, surrounded by a bunch of hardwoods that are still full of color. And quiet. Was very nice. I’m out…gotta get back to some web design :) More later.

So, I’m reading today in the Word and decide to camp out in a Psalm. Went to the 24th…not the 23rd. Wow, some great stuff there (not that any of it is bad….you know what I mean). You can see a lot of lyrics from various praise songs were pulled from here. A good thing to remind yourself of WHO HE is and of who we CAN be and are CALLED to be. Check it:

Psalm 24
1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;

2 for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.

3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
Who may stand in his holy place?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false. [a]

5 He will receive blessing from the LORD
and vindication from God his Savior.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, O God of Jacob. [b]
Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.

8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.

10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty—
he is the King of glory.

All together now….”Hello Alan”

I admit it. On October evenings after the kids are in bed and I’m beginning to do some work on alive media or 4thought media stuff, I go to our closet and grab the Christmas music box (yes, we have a box…I told you I have a problem) and grab some charlie brown christmas, maybe some home alone christmas music, or some nice background jazz piano christmas music. I don’t know if it is that it just relaxes me, or reminds me of when I was a kid, but I just love it. When I was a kid, my parents had one of those old Sears stereos that was one big piece of furniture. It looks like a china storage chest…thingy. Anyway, you opened it up and it had a turntable that played albums. We had about 10 or so Christmas albums so we would stack them all on and let em rip. When one finished, the next one would drop down and play. Was the original disc changer. My personal favorite was the Partridge Family Christmas album. I know, I have issues.

Anyway, if you share this affliction, here’s a link to some online Christmas music with some variety that you can chose from at AccuHolidays.  Whatever you do, please get some help.

Wow, what a game in Athens. The whole stadium was in a “blackout”. Just a sea of black. My brother, Steve, and I along with a few other friends from Aiken were on the home side on the 45 yard line…..some of the best seats for one of the best games. There were rumors all week that the UGA players would wear black jerseys for the Auburn game. When the team captains came out in red, I turned to Steve and said, “Well, I guess we’re wearing red tonight.” A little disappointed, but hey, I’d be yelling my head off either way. The teams runs out of the locker room wearing…wait for it…..BLACK JERSEYS! Sanford Stadium went completely nuts, I’m talking off the charts loud. Auburn didn’t have a chance. 45 points later, we had defeated the war-eagle-tiger-plainsmen-barners. Weather was perfect, too. Was cool and clear.
